The Birria Truck started with a simple idea: what if birria wasn't reserved for Sunday gatherings and special occasions? What if you could get a properly made, slow-braised birria taco on a Tuesday night in San Diego — without driving to Tijuana?
We source our chiles, our spices, and our beef with the same care our families have used for generations. Every batch of consomme is made from scratch, every tortilla is dipped by hand, and every taco is seared to order. No freezers. No shortcuts. Just the kind of food that makes people pull over.
Located on University Ave, we're part of this neighborhood — and we treat every person who walks up like a neighbor coming over for dinner.
